Who invented the world wide web and E-commerce (homework week one)

The WWW
Tim Berners-Lee is an English scientist who invented the world wide web. In 1989 Tim Berners-Lee came up with an idea to help scientists to share their data across countries and different institutions (Brooker, 2018). The idea of the WWW was a merge of hypertext, computer technology, and data network. After his first proposal in 1989, Berners-Lee worked along with his colleague Robert Cailliau on his second proposal, which was formalised as a management proposal in 1990 (Cern, 2021).

By the end of 1990, the first web server and browser ran at CERN in the NeXT computer, which had a message written in red stating that the computer shouldn't be turned off. http://info.cern.ch/hypertext/WWW/TheProject.html was The first web page address, in which it contained information about the WWW project (Cern, 2021).

E-commerce 

 

The concept of buying a thing without leaving the places you are in, known as online shopping or e-commerce, was invented six years prior to the www (BBC News. 2013). E-commerce in the past was used via tv, enabling a real-time transaction to happen between a consumer and a business or a business to business via a telephone line (Norman, 2021). E-commerce was invented in 1997 by Micheal Aldrich, an English innovator and entrepreneur.

 After analysing the privacy policies on the other e-commerce, I finished editing the privacy policy page. As I mentioned on the  Privacy Policy page 1 (websites analysis) post  I used the privacy policies software  to generate the page content.  similar to Ben's cookies and arrival cookies privacy page, I included information such as: 1-The type of information the website collects from the users. 2-How the website use the information collected from the users. 3- Information about cookies software. 4- Security guarantee. 5-contact information. 6-The secure payment methods the website has.  I updated the information on the contact us page. The contact page is one of the essential pages in any e-commerce. Since keeping the connection with consumers is vital. Therefore, I have added more social media account on my contact page. And to make it easier for the user to navigate I linked the social media icons on the contact page with its website page.
